The story of this home

Congregational manse (210 Elswick Street)

The residence at 210 Elswick Street was built in 1896 on lot 26 of Doust’s 1877 Subdivision. It served as the manse for Congregational minister Reverend William L. Patison.

The journal identifies the house as Victorian Italianate, built in brick with a stuccoed front. Solomon Mitchell’s photograph records its gabled roof, chimney and front verandah. The adjoining article text about Elswick House and St Martha’s concerns a different property and is not part of this house’s history.
