George Chidgey
Tenant of an earlier cottage on the site · 1844
Their story
Builder George Chidgey rented one of Francis Armstrong’s stone cottages in 1844. He later became a Balmain grocer, postmaster and builder. This is an association with the earlier cottage, not occupancy of the 1872 house.
